Phone verification-how?

Hey there,
I need advice about phone verifcation cause I never did it.
I need verification in order to card sities that sell virtual stuff (all kind pre paid card,game cards and similar).

Like I said never did it,my english is average( enough for verification, just to confirm) so what programs to use (Gtalk,Skype, maybe yahoo talk) and what can I do about anonimity-this is really important to me,cause I said never did with phone before.
Lemme repeat-I just need to RECEIVE CALLS, not to call.

And also, dont forget to use vpn.

So Skype is only solution? Gtalk wont do job for example?

For example I would like them cause they are not installed on computer like Skype.I already use Vmware.
